First prepare all the needed ingredients such as, 1 ¾ light or dark chicken stock, 2/3 cup fresh grapefruit juice, ½ cup sugar, 2 cups heavy cream, ½ teaspoon light soy sauce. After the needed ingredients is present, now it’s time to make the sauce. In a heavy bottomed saucepan, combine the stock, grapefruit juice and sugar. Cook the mixture in medium heat and carefully stir the mixture until reaching a caramel-like consistency. Continue to cook until the color becomes deep brown. Reduce the liquid to 1 or ½ cups by continually stirring it. When it becomes caramel-dark add the soy sauce and strain with a fine-mesh strainer. Remove from heat first before storing it.

Place it in stove and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. In a large bowl mix beef, seasonings, parsley, and remaining tomato sauce. Shape the meatballs into 16 pieces. Put the meatball into the Sauce Pot and simmer gently for about 25 minutes while turning it occasionally. The sauce and meatballs can be poured into noodles, pasta or potatoes depends on your preference.

Sauce Pan is only having one long handle at one side of the pan, while Sauce Pot is having two short handles placed in the opposite direction. The handle is designed like that to ease people when carrying the pot. Since Sauce Pot is commonly larger than saucepan, it is necessary to held them in both side to avoid spilling the food.
